Compliance Map View for Technicians

The Compliance Map View in HeadCount CMMS is an advanced tool designed to help technicians visualize and manage the location and status of assets within their facility. This guide will walk you through the functionalities of the Compliance Map View, ensuring you can effectively manage inspections and maintain compliance.

 

Accessing the Compliance Map View


When you first log in to HeadCount, you will be directed to the Dashboard page. From here, you can access the Compliance Map View by following these steps:

Selecting a Building and Floor Plan:

 

-Click the Location Selector icon located in the top header on the right. This allows you to choose the building and floor plan you want to work in.


Accessing Inspections:

 

-Navigate to the Inspections tab from the mobile navigation dropdown menu. This is where you can manage and view your inspections.


-Swipe left on the inspection tag and select "Inspect" to proceed with the inspections.


Navigating to the Map View:

 

-Once you have selected an inspection, you will be automatically taken to the Map View page. Here, you can see detailed, high-quality maps of the selected building and floor plan.


Navigating the Map View


The Map View provides several features to help you effectively navigate and manage inspections:

Zooming:

 

-Utilize the zoom buttons on the right-hand menu or the pinch-to-zoom gesture on touch-screen devices to adjust the map view to your desired level of detail.


Viewing Device Clusters:

 

-Based on the floor and region you selected, you will see device clusters represented on the map. These clusters give you an overview of where devices are located.


-Click on a cluster to drill down and see all devices within that region.


Inspecting Devices


Once you have located the devices you need to inspect, follow these steps:

-Click on a device marker to initiate the inspection process.


-Use your mobile device to scan the device’s barcode. This step is crucial as it verifies the device and ensures accurate inspection records.

Filling Out Inspection Forms:

 

-Complete the inspection form associated with the device. This form will include all necessary fields to document the condition and compliance status of the device.


-If a device is found to be non-compliant, you will be prompted to fill out a non-compliance form, and a work order will be automatically generated. This ensures that non-compliant issues are promptly addressed.


Customizing the Map View


To better suit your operational needs, you can customize the map view using the Location Selector:

-This tool allows you to select specific floor plans and regions within the building, helping you focus on the most relevant areas for your inspections.

 

Important Note

While the desktop app allows you to view the map, it is important to note that all inspections must be completed on a mobile device. This is because barcode scanning, a crucial part of the inspection process, can only be performed on mobile devices.
