Understanding Notifications for Technicians

 

This article explains what notifications you’ll receive, how to access them, and how to interact with them in the app.

 

What Notifications Will You Receive?

Your notifications are limited to your personal tasks, team assignments, account updates, and system announcements. They fall into three categories:

 

Work Order Notifications:

Updates about work orders you’re involved with:

 

Info

-Request Submitted: A new work request has been submitted (if relevant to your team).


-Request Approved: A work request has been approved.


-Work Order Assigned: You’ve been assigned a new task.


-Work Order Updated: Changes to your work orders, like comments, due dates, or priority.


-Work Order Approved by Admin: An admin has approved a completed task.


-Work Order Completed: A work order has been finished.

 

Work Order Alerts:

Reminders and warnings about your tasks:

-PM Schedule Inactivity Warning: No work orders completed after 3 generated by a preventative maintenance (PM) schedule.


-PM Schedule Disabled Alert: PM schedule disabled after 5 uncompleted work orders (requires reactivation).


-Scheduled Work Order Alert: A scheduled task is approaching.


-Overdue Work Order Warning: A task is nearing its due date.


-Overdue Work Order Alert: A task is past due.

 

Account Notifications:

Updates about your account or team:

 

Info

-Team User Added: You’ve been added to a new team.


-User Access Updated: Your access permissions have changed.


-Message Received: You’ve received a new chat message.

 

Note

You’ll also see System Notifications, which are platform-wide updates like maintenance schedules or new features.

 

Viewing and Interacting with Notifications

 

My Notifications Tab:

 

Info

-Shows your personal and team-related alerts. Each notification includes a brief description and a link to view details (e.g., "View Work Order").

 

-Example: "Work Order Assigned: You’ve been assigned to fix the HVAC in Room 12" or "Overdue Work Order Alert: Work Order #123 is overdue by 2 days." Click the link to jump straight to the task.

 

System Notifications Tab:

-Displays platform updates. No action is typically required—just stay informed.

 

-Example: "Scheduled maintenance tonight from 10 PM to 12 AM." Just read these to stay in the loop.

 

Tip

Check My Notifications daily to stay on top of your tasks and avoid missing overdue alerts.
