Managing Notification Settings for Technicians
This article explains how to customize your in-app notifications so you can focus on the alerts that matter most to your work as a technician.
Accessing Notification Settings

-Click the Settings icon (gear) in the left menu.
-Select "Notifications" from the settings menu.
Enabling or Disabling Notifications
You can choose which types of notifications you want to receive in the app.

-Use the toggle next to each notification type to turn it on or off.
-Example: Enable "Work Order Assigned" to be alerted when you get a new task.
-Example: Enable "Overdue Work Order Alert" to stay on top of tasks that are past due.
Customizing Your Notifications
You can fine-tune your notifications to focus on what’s important. Here’s how:

Choose Notification Types:
Decide which alerts you want to see, like updates about your tasks or team changes. Toggle each type on or off.
Example: Turn on "Work Order Assigned" to know when you get a new task, or "Overdue Work Order Alert" to stay on top of deadlines.

Pick how you’ll get them:
-In App: Alerts show up on the Notifications page.
-Email: Sent to your registered email address.
-Push: Pop up on your mobile device (if you’ve got the app).

Adjust Frequency:
Control when they arrive:
-Immediate: Get alerts right when they happen—great for urgent stuff like alarms.
-Batched: Group them into updates every few hours (e.g., every 6 hours) for less interruption.
Tip
Group Similar Notifications: Reduce clutter by bundling repeat alerts (e.g., multiple "Work Order Updated" messages into one). Check the box to turn this on.
Saving Your Changes

Click "Save" at the top of the page to apply your preferences. Your settings will update immediately.
Tip
Enable only the most important notifications—like "Work Order Assigned" and "Overdue Work Order Alert"—to stay focused and avoid unnecessary distractions.
